Tinker Cubs ("we", "us") sells early-learning activity kits and workbooks for children. This policy explains what information we collect when you browse or buy from us, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Order details, name, email, phone, billing and shipping address, and the items you bought. Needed to take payment and deliver your parcel.
- Account details, name, email and a securely hashed password if you create an account.
- Marketing preferences, your email address if you subscribe to our updates.
- Reviews, the first name, city, rating and review text you choose to publish.
- Usage data, pages visited, device and browser type, collected through cookies to keep the cart working and to understand what parents find useful.
- Analytics data, with your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 and our own event store to understand how the site is used. Your email address is hashed before it is stored as a user identifier, so we can recognise you across devices without keeping your actual email in our analytics database.
Payments
Checkout and payment processing are handled by Shopify and its payment partners. Card numbers never reach our servers, and we never store them.
Who we share it with
Only with the partners who help us run the shop: Shopify (store and checkout), payment gateways, courier partners for delivery, and our email tool for updates you asked for. We never sell your personal data.
Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to keep your cart and account session working. If you accept analytics in the banner, we also record anonymised page views, clicks, searches, cart actions, newsletter sign-ups and account events. You can decline analytics at any time; the banner will remember your choice.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Reviews stay published until you ask us to remove them. Analytics events are kept for up to 24 months and then automatically removed.
Children's privacy
Our products are for children, but our store is intended for parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
Write to admin@tinkercubs.com to access, correct or delete your data, or to unsubscribe from emails. You can also unsubscribe from the link in any marketing email.
